Welcome to my site - Gabrielism.

My name is Gabriel. I was born on 14th April in a Catholic family in Hong Kong. After teaching two years in The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where I also received my Ph.D. there, I went to work in The University of Queensland as a Research Scientist in January 2008.

I was born in an artistic and full of Chinese Culture family. I learn drawing at the age of 4 and learn percussion at the age of 7. I joined the Hong Kong Youth Symphonic Band when I was 12 and formed my first rock band, Dynamics, when I was 14. The first time I touched a single lens reflect camera was a few weeks after I came to this world. It belongs to my father, who is an excellent photographer. He devoted himself heavily into the Chinese Culture and History. I learn photography around 21 using my brother's camera, Minolta 800si.

I love drawing, I love music and I love photography. I love red wine and I love white wine. I love teaching and I love research. Life is limited, yet exicting. There are so many things we can learn and so many things we can enjoy. Let's treasure our life. We should work for live, but not work for alive. Learn from the past experiences. Treasure the current moment. Create a better future.
